10 Tips And Delicious Drinks That Will Melt Your Fat Away

According to experts, we gain more weight during the winter because our body stores more fat in order to keep us warmer. Think of it as your very own biological “winter coat”!

However, there is hope for us all yet. There is a way out. By making the right lifestyle choices and drinking the right drinks, you can easily melt all that fat away.

One of my favourite ways to lose weight is by drinking a delicious smoothie. Consuming the right drinks – combined with adjustments to your lifestyle – can help to keep the pounds off.

See, lots of people associate weight-loss drinks with blandness. But weight-loss drinks can be even more delicious than anything else you’ve drank in your life up to now.

Let’s take a look at what you need to do to melt the fat away.

Keep Moving

Far too many of us spend most of our time sat down at work. Especially if you work in an office, you’re probably going to be chained to your desk for most of the day. As such, you’re hardly getting much exercise.

It doesn’t have to be this way. There is nothing stopping from completing certain tasks while moving around. Do you have to be sat down when taking a phone call? Nope! Do you have to be sat down while firing off a few emails? Not if you’re using a phone!

And when you Skype people, is it mandatory for you to stay sat down? Absolutely not! You’ve got the freedom to move around as much as you want.

Flavoured Green Tea

Admittedly, not everyone is a fan of regular green tea. They might enjoy the fabulous fat-burning qualities it has, but they don’t enjoy the taste. True, it’s an acquired taste.

But flavoured green tea (which comes in a variety of flavours, including my personal favourite – strawberry), is tastes delicious and comes with all the exact same fat-burning benefits as regular green tea.

Drinking flavoured green tea each morning is a great way to boost your metabolism and turbocharge your day.

Eat More Protein

Protein is essential if you’re trying to melt your fat away, but are you getting enough of it through your diet?

If you’re sceptical about the role protein plays in the weight-loss process, check this quote out from the Director of the Obesity Clinic in Cornell, Louis Aronne, MD:

“Your body starts to produce more insulin as you age, since your muscle and fat cells aren’t responding to it properly.”

Why is insulin bad for you? Because it boosts fat storage – particularly around your abdomen.

Why is protein important? Because it’s good for insulin resistance.

Where can you get more protein? From smoothies! Such as the one below.

Dark Chocolate Smoothie

OMG this smoothie is so divine – and it’s ideal for weight loss.

The ingredients you need are:

A single peeled mango, a cup of frozen blueberries, three cups of spinach, a tbsp of chia seeds, two tbsp of cacao power, eight ounces of almond milk, a tsp of honey.

Add the liquid to your blender, before adding the soft fruit. Then, add the greens before blending for half a minute. Once your smoothie is nice and creamy, it’s ready to be drank.

Drink Lemon Water

Water is the elixir of life. So why aren’t more of us drinking enough of it?

We might argue that we get enough water from our food, but this is a poor excuse. Not only does water cleanse out our system and hydrate us, it can also help us to lose weight.

How? In a few ways.

For example, if you’re a big coffee drinker, switching a cup of Joe for water is a good idea. Coffee is a diuretic, which means it causes belly fat. Water will reverse this trend.

Also, because we get so much of our water from food, our stomach sometimes think it’s hungry when it’s really just thirsty. As such, we eat when all we need is a glass of water! This causes unnecessary weight gain.

The next time you feel hungry at an unusual time, try a glass of water.

Black Coffee

As mentioned above, coffee is a diuretic. What this means is that it causes you to urinate more than usual. As a consequence, your body works hard to retain fluids by storing them in your abdomen. Hence, uncool weight gain!

But it’s okay – and even beneficial – to drink just one cup of coffee each day. And there really are fewer ways to kickstart the day than with a cup of black coffee.

Black coffee boosts a flagging metabolism. To make it extra delicious without adding calories, sprinkle a smidgen of cinnamon on top. Mmm!

Eat Hot Foods

If you’re a fan of hot foods already, such as chili, it’s time to double down on them. If you’re not, you might want to consider getting used to the spicier side of things because hot food puts rocket fuel into your metabolism.

Mango Green Smoothie

This one will put a smile on your face. Take a frozen banana and blend it with a cup of frozen mango chunks, a cup of spinach, half an avocado, a small cup of almond milk and a dash of vanilla extract and voila!

It’s seriously amazing and so good for weight loss.

Get More Vitamin D

You can get vitamin D from food, supplements or the sun. It doesn’t matter how you get it; all that matters is that you get it, as this key nutrient boosts the effectiveness of a hormone called leptin which is responsible for explaining to your brain that you’re full.

Spinach and Avocado Smoothie

For this fat burning drink, take an avocado, a cup of spinach, a large banana, a tbsp of peanut butter, a cup of milk and a few ice cubes – and then whizz them all together in a blender before drinking. It’s ace, and it helps to melt the fat away.

Stay happy!
