10 Simple Home Remedies For Weight Loss That Actually Work

Many of us are trying to lose weight. But wouldn’t it be great if you could skip all the hard work – such as going to the gym every day – and prepare your own weight-loss remedies from home instead?

I know from experience what it’s like. Two years ago, it was my goal to lose X amount of weight. But after a month, I was totally exhausted and de-motivated. I was sick and fed up of having to get up really early each morning so that I could hit the gym before work, while my new diet was making me resent life. It was so boring! I just couldn’t do it.

Then my friend introduced me to apple cider vinegar. Actually, I’d heard all about apple cider vinegar before. My grandmother used it all the time when I was a young girl to treat all manners of ailments, from coughs to bee stings. She even tried to use it to help her live forever! And as it turned out, apple cider vinegar – which you can easily make at home – is a fabulous remedy for weight loss.

And it’s not the only one. I used a few of these home remedies to help me lose weight and it worked. But I should stress that I combined them with a new, healthier lifestyle. Let’s take a look at 10 simple home remedies for weight loss that actually work.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Let’s start with grandma’s favourite. Apple cider vinegar is a common home remedy that anyone who’s ever had a grandma has ever heard about. The only thing it couldn’t treat when you were young was bad grades – though I’m sure grandma said it could!

How apple cider vinegar helps you to lose weight is still unknown, but just the fact that it does should be enough for now.

And it’s super easy to make, too. All you need to do is mix together 2 teaspoons of raw apple cider vinegar into your glass of water. And then drink! So simple!!

If you prefer, you could also add some lemon juice for a bit of a kick and even more health benefits. Amazing.

Tomatoes

People either seem to love tomatoes or they hate them. If you love them, today is your lucky day because eating more of them is a great way of shedding some pounds.

Tomatoes are great because you can do so many things with them. You can add them to sandwiches or toasties, bake them and add to a breakfast, turn into a sauce, eat as the main part of a soup – and so much more. You can even drink tomato juice!

Lemon Juice

Drinking a glass of water with lemon juice each day is a fab way of losing weight without much hassle. For any kind of results, though, you must be consistent, which pretty much means drinking lemon water a few times each day. I suggest starting with a glass in the morning, and then, having another with your lunch as well.

Aloe Vera

Like apple cider vinegar, aloe vera can be used to treat pretty much anything. The aloe vera plant is one of the most beneficial to your health on the planet, and it can be used to treat skin conditions among many other things.

It’s useful to you right now because of its weight loss benefits. By boosting energy consumption, metabolism stimulation and the mobilisation of unused fat, aloe vera helps you to lose weight.

To make this remedy, all you have to do is peel a pair of fresh aloe vera leaves, before placing in a blender with a cup of orange juice (or water if you prefer). Then, blend for a couple of minutes before drinking.

Green Tea

Green tea is a difficult one because, despite having SO many health benefits, it’s a little bit too bland for most people.

Okay, it’s way too bland for most people. It’s certainly an acquired taste, especially if you haven’t grown up drinking it. But if you can get past the taste (or if you can drink flavoured green tea instead), you’re in for a treat because the health benefits are fab.

Stuffed with key nutrients such as zinc, vitamin C and selenium, green tea can help you to lose weight. However, you need to drink it at least three times a day to get your rewards. This pretty much means swapping it for your regular tea/coffee of choice.

Parsley

It’s super easy to just add parsley to your dishes, and you should definitely think about dong so because it detoxifies your kidneys and also makes you feel full for longer.

Parsley is also super low in calories. Win-Win.

Cayenne Pepper
