5 Things every girls needs for a harmonious and balanced life
What does it take to be happy? Sometimes it’s just a little thing, a perfect moment, but achieving a harmonious and balanced life takes a little more. Well, not too much though, so anyone can have it, if they put their minds to it. Here are the elements of such a balanced life that any girl can have.
1. A good skincare regimen and kindness
Flawless skin is healthy skin, so take care of it. Just think of the hard work your skin does: keeping you warm in the cold, and keeping you cool in the heat, ridding your body of toxins, and, to be honest, contributing a lot to anyone’s attractiveness. So, be good to it and it will be good to you, helping you look young for a long time. Now, enough about the outside, let’s talk about the inside. Being able to forgive other people’s missteps and not reading too much into every little situation is a guarantee for a harmonious life. The problem with most of us is that we tend to take everything personally, and, you know, most of the things that happen to us are not meant specifically to do us harm, so just try to stop taking it all too personally. Life is so much more enjoyable when we don’t hold a host of grudges against everyone who has ever made a mistake that has affected us, don’t you think?
2. A little black dress and acceptance
OK, it doesn’t necessarily have to be little or black, or even a dress, but you should have a special outfit that makes you feel and look like the most beautiful person on this earth. It’s an essential self-confidence booster and also perfect for special occasions, you know, saving you from hectic last minute shopping. Try to find that dream outfit, if you don’t already have one. So, perhaps you’re thinking that you don’t have the figure for the outfit you want and that you’ll never have it. That’s an easy problem to solve: instead of brooding over clothes that you wish you could look good in but know you won’t, why not find the clothes that will look great on you? People come in all shapes and sizes, and there are clothes that suit these shapes and sizes. Accepting your body is the first step to loving it, and your body deserves your love. After all, where would you be without it? Respect and enjoy what you have, don’t get depressed over what you don’t have.
3. A pair of eccentric shoes and self-confidence
Every girl likes shoes and if she doesn’t, then there’s something wrong with her. That’s a joke, of course – women who are indifferent to shoes have other obsessions. The amount of good that a pair of great shoes can do for your self esteem is amazing! It’s not just that an elegant shoe makes your leg longer and more beautiful, it’s the feeling of deep satisfaction and aesthetic delight when you look down and see your treasured pair. Great shoes go wonderfully with self confidence. You think it’s hard work to build it? Well, yes, it is but the rewards are worth it. You cannot take pleasure in believing you’re unworthy and unattractive, nobody does! Besides, you are worthy of all the best things the world can offer, and you are truly beautiful in your own way! Well, no person in the world is attractive to everyone, but each of us is attractive to at least one other person. So, here’s the foundation for your future self-confidence.
4. Good makeup and a passion
Quality makeup is what you will need, at least, once a year, for some formal event or other, even if you’re not a fan of putting any cosmetic substance on your face. For those who are not opposed to makeup in general, this is what we have to say: don’t buy every single product you see advertised as the next big thing in makeup, you can’t use them all, can you? You just don’t have so much skin and makeup does have expiry dates, which you need to remember. Keep it subtle, wear the colours that you like, not the colours this or that expert says are the best for your eyes and lips, and never blindly follow fashionable fads. And what about passion? Everyone is passionate about something. It may be a profession, it may be a hobby, a sport, or an art, but indulging in your passion is one of the best things you can do for yourself, for your happiness and feeling of completeness. You see, the thing is that when we’re passionate about something, we tend to be good at it, and the pleasure and satisfaction that come with a job well done is actually incomparable with anything else. Why deprive yourself of it?
5. A pet and true love
Someone said: “A house without a cat is not a home”. Dog lovers would certainly disagree, and so would budgie lovers, iguana lovers, and snake lovers, so if you’re into animals, just substitute ‘cat’ for the pet of your choice. It’s true that pets add a certain something to our lives, and this is often unconditional love. If you don’t like pets, that’s fine too, but life’s really fun with them. As for true love, where would we be without it? Far from harmony, that’s for sure. Past disappointments may discourage you from hoping to find it, but don’t worry, it will find you when the time is right. Try not to hang on onto the past too much, especially, when it comes to commitment and love. Emotional wounds heal, and love is the best medicine. You’ll see when you meet the one for you.
