Let’s talk about happiness again. The question “how to be happy?” interests so many people, and it’s quite legitimate, all of us deserve happiness. This is part 2 of this important topic. (Please read part 1 here).
1) Love yourself.
To love yourself is not bad, nor is it egoistic. The simple truth is that the person who has no self love can’t give love to others, nor can he be loved by others, because this person is constantly generating the vibration of “unworthiness”. It’s not difficult to start loving yourself – you need to notice and focus on your strong sides and develop them more, and when I say “strong sides” – I mean both outside and inside ones. Concentrate your attention on them and perfect them even more. Then “replace” your less flattering aspects with positive ones and when you succeed on this “road” of accepting yourself totally, you won’t be able to do anything else, but love yourself!
2) Do what you love and love what you do.
Statistics show that more than 70% of people hate their job, so there is no wonder that there are so many negative people around. People spend very significant amount of lifetime at their work, so try to find the activity that you will enjoy and invest your time into it – your life will become happier when you do what you love!
3) Take good care of yourself.
Your body deserves to be treated right. Your body is a “house” where you live while on this earth, so why not to take a good care of it?! There is a saying that happy and healthy spirit lives in a happy and healthy body. So, try to eat healthy, exercise regularly, have good restful sleep and drink loads of water. When you take good care of your body, it will reward you with health and good long life.
4) Be initiative taker!
Happy people prefer to take initiative and create their own luck. Happy people don’t waste their energy on things that are out of their reach, nor do they mourn over things that they can’t change. Don’t try to change what you can’t change, but take the responsibility for creating the life you desire and start creating by doing one small step at a time. By doing small steps and by taking initiative you will reach your goals!
5) Self confidence and self esteem.
Don’t try to compare yourself with others. Don’t try to copy anyone. There is a saying: “It’s better to be the original then a copy!” Embrace who you are, know yourself and make the best out of what you’ve got! Like this you will be happier.
6) Take responsibility for your own life.
Happy people understand that they are 100% responsible for their words, their thoughts, their attitudes, their mood, their deeds and their life. No one can upset you if you don’t let it! Take responsibility for your own happiness and start implementing good, positive habits into your life. Understand that you are the “captain of your own ship”, so chose the direction where you want to “sail” and start moving toward your dreams!
7) Positive mental attitude.
Happy people are optimists. Start looking at the glass half full, instead of half empty. Learn positive attitude and try to find good in any situation. Stay away from negative thoughts, if they come to mind – replace them with positive ones. You will feel happier!
8) Don’t criticize and don’t judge, be kind!
When a person is kind and happy, it will be impossible for this person to criticize or judge others, because kindness fills the heart.
Every person is free to live their own life and you can’t judge others from your point of view. Criticism doesn’t bring any good to anyone! Don’t gossip and stop people who try to talk negatively about others behind their back. Cultivate good attitude toward everyone and never judge. It will make your life happier.
9) What others think is their own business.
Stop worrying about what people are going to say or what they are going to think about you. Mind your own business and be free from fearful attitude of being judged by others. If you’d like to become a painter, sportsman, singer or musician, but you are afraid of failure and of people’s attitude, ignore this fear and go fearlessly toward your dreams. Remember, what people think is their own business!
10) Everything you give – you get back.
This is one of the most important “laws” of life. If you want more love – give more love, if you want more happiness – start giving more joy and happiness to others. We receive back what we give. It’s that simple.
I hope you found some useful tips and now will implement some of them into your life. Please, feel free to share your thoughts in the comment’s section below.
