Do you remember how easy it was to find joy when you were a kid? When you could spend hours doing nothing important, and still have a load of fun? Then, we grow a bit older, we take on responsibilities, and many of us seem to lose that ability to find joy in even the simplest things. There are ways that you can regain that feeling once more, though. You don’t need to travel the world or take up an extreme sport to feel joy; you can find it in some of the most surprising places. 1. Stop working 24/7

Did you used to worry about school once you got home? No, of course you didn’t and that could well be the first lesson about joy that the kids could teach us. Don’t check your work email on weekends, or in the evenings, there won’t be anything there that can’t wait until the next working day. Draw a line under the working day and switch off, and then you will be able to enjoy your free time properly.
