Living with constant stress can have serious health implications, as well as simply not being very pleasant, so if you feel stressed out all of the time, read these ten natural ways that you can reduce stress.

Camomile tea is one of the very popular natural stress relievers. A cup of chamomile tea can have a calming effect on you and reduce some the feelings of tension, stress and anxiety. Chamomile tea contains a compound called, apigenin, which produces similar effects to those of some prescribed tranquillizers, but without any of the unpleasant side effects that taking medication can cause.

You can get the benefit of hops by brewing a half teaspoon of them in boiling water and drinking it. Don’t drink too much, though, or you are likely to fall asleep.

4. Exercise

Exercise is a simple way to make your body release feel good hormones that will reduce the effect of the stress hormones. 6. Sleep

Sleep is another one of wonderful natural stress relievers. Everyone needs different amounts of sleep to function properly during the day, but the average is reckoned to be eight hours a night. If you don’t get enough sleep you will feel more irritable and things will get to you more. A lack of sleep can make you less able to cope with things and you will feel more stressed, so make sure that you get a good night’s sleep, every night, and you will feel a lot better for it.

7. Aromatherapy

8. Cut out the junk food

What you eat can really affect your mood, so cut out the junk food, and you will feel a lot better. The most natural remedy for stress that you have available is yourself. Try to keep things in perspective, try to think things through rationally. Stress is caused as much by what we perceive to be real, as it is by what is real. Ask yourself: will you really be fired because you are late to work on just one day? Probably not, so relax and you will do yourself and your body a huge favour.

Do you know other natural stress relievers?
