Let’s talk about natural skin care products. Today let me share with you 3 very effective, natural homemade facial masks recipes that will help rejuvenate and add glow to your complexion. Let’s begin:

The main ingredient of our first mask is avocado.

Rich in vitamins A, B6, K, E, amino acids, Omega 3 and minerals, avocado is not only a delicious fruit, but also, this “wonder of nature” can very effectively hydrate and rejuvenate your skin and hair. This is why it’s no wonder that avocado is actively used in various homemade facial treatments and hair masks. It can “bring to life” any type of skin, fighting the appearance of wrinkles and moisturizing your face. Today we will look at the recipe of very effective homemade facial treatment suitable for dry and normal skin types, that will make your skin soft, healthy looking and radiant:

You will need:

– Half of ripe avocado

– 1 table spoon of wheat germ oil

– Half teaspoon of freshly squeezed lime juice

Wheat germ oil is rich in vitamin E, antioxidants, lectin and proteins. It can make wonders hydrating and softening your skin, as well as relieving such skin conditions as eczema, psoriasis and inflammations. This oil is also rich in essential fatty acids that promote regeneration and growth of skin cells. It contains more nutrients than any other grain oil. Wheat germ oil is wildly used in cosmetic and skin care industry thanks to it’s wonderful moisturizing properties.

Rich in Vitamin C, lime juice can efficiently rejuvenate and add glow to even the dullest looking complexion. It can help fight and prevent spots and pimples, thanks to it’s antibacterial and antiseptic properties.

How to prepare the mask:

Crush half of avocado into a paste, add wheat germ oil and lime juice, mix well all the ingredients. Apply the mask on your face and neck for 10-15 minutes and then, rinse with lukewarm water.

Second effective homemade facial treatment can be ironically called the “Botox of nature”, because it’s very effective in fighting aging process and reducing the appearance of wrinkles.

For this mask you will need only 3 simple ingredients:

– 3 table spoons of plain yogurt

– 1 teaspoon of natural honey

– Half of ripe banana

This mask, probably, can help you replace the painful and dangerous procedure of making Botox injections into your skin, with the difference that this natural face mask won’t cost you as much and it won’t bring any pain, nor stress.

How to prepare:

Smash half of ripe banana into a paste and then, add all other ingredients; mix it all up very well. Apply the mask on a clean face and live it on for 10-15 minutes. Wash your face with warm, then cold water. (Splashing your face with cold water will help close up your pores.)

Yogurt has multiple skin’s benefits. It can efficiently hydrate and nourish your skin, getting rid of dulness and dryness. Thanks to the presence of lactic acid, zinc and other enzymes and minerals, yogurt can add healthy glow and radiance to your skin.

Banana is a wonderful natural moisturizer that can help repair and rejuvenate dry and dull looking skin. Rich in minerals, iron, potassium, vitamins (A, B group and E) and antioxidants banana can do wonders for your skin, fighting aging process and making your face look (and feel) healthy and soft. Banana has slight peeling effect, helping your skin cells’ regeneration and renewal.

Honey has antiseptic and antibacterial properties; rich in antioxidants, it will help hydrate your skin, as well as retain moisture. Rich in vitamins and minerals (including iron, magnesium, pantothenic acid, calcium, copper, phosphorus, potassium and zinc), honey can efficiently help fight signs of aging.

The third homemade facial mask will help hydrate and moisturize dull looking and dry skin, adding glow and softness.

You will need:

1 egg yolk

Half table spoon of natural organic honey

1 table spoon of olive oil

Half tea spoon of lemon juice.

Mix well all the ingredients and apply it on your clean face for 10-15 minutes. Wash your face with warm, then cold water.

This mask is recommended for dry to normal skin type, it will help regulate moisture balance in the skin, nourishing and rejuvenating it.

Eggs yolk is rich in vitamins and nutrients, so that it will efficiently help hydrate and moisturize your skin.

To tighten your skin after your homemade facial treatment, rub an ice cube all over your face as a final step. It will help tone your skin and tighten your pores.

(Before doing any homemade treatments, make sure you are not allergic to any of the ingredients. Avoid applying face masks on the gentle area around your eyes).

I hope you found it useful.

Thanks for these! I’m excited to try them! I was wondering if you had a suggestion of what to use instead of wheat germ oil for people who are gluten intolerant (I looked it up and the celiac authority said its not safe to use on the skin for us)? Thanks!

Hi Chelsea, thank you for your comment. I also use sweet almond oil or organ oil, and it works great as well 🙂
