While the effect that jewellery can have on the body and mind may be disputed, there is no question that a lot of people do believe in the power of metals and crystals to heal, and those beliefs have been around for centuries. Science can’t always explain everything and quite often, science takes time to catch up with folklore, so there could be more to the perceived health benefits of wearing jewellery, than we yet understand. Here’s a list of ten things that you can wear as jewellery that might, possibly, have health benefits.

1. Copper bracelets

Copper bracelets are said to reduce the pain of arthritis, and there might just be something in this. Although no one can explain for sure why copper bracelets help people with arthritis, copper can be absorbed by the skin from copper jewellery and copper can reduce inflammation. 2. Silver jewellery

Silver is another metal that is said to be able to be absorbed by the skin and provide medicinal benefits. It helps keep the blood vessels elastic, which would reduce blood pressure, and silver helps with bone formation. It is also said that silver has pain killing properties.

It was really nice how you said that wearing silver is beneficial because it reduces blood pressure by keeping the blood vessels elastic as well help in healthy bone formation. My mom has been a fan of jewelry ever since she was young, so it might be a good idea to give her a set for her birthday this coming month. I want to give her something pretty yet uncommon this time, and one of the things that I’m considering is the Zuni jewelry. I’ll look into it. Thanks for the ideas!

I didn’t realize that silver jewelry provided health benefits by absorbing it through the skin. It makes me wonder if gold and other metals have similar benefits. I guess I’ll have to wear more jewelry and see if it’ll help me be even healthier!
