Mesmeric. Spellbinding. Pretty. Beautiful. These are just some words to describe Japanese girls, who we at Beauty and Tips are just utterly in love with.
At Beauty and Tips, we love beauty (hence our name!). And we think that if you want to see real beauty, you need to go to Japan.
Japan is one of the world’s most liveliest countries. It’s got culture, amazing seafood, technology – and it’s home to some of the most beautiful women on the planet.
The thing is that many of these girls aren’t so well-known outside Japan. As such, you never get to see their natural beauty!
And so we thought, what better thing to do than celebrate their insatiable beauty with an article all about Japan’s most gorgeous women?!
In no particular order (we literally couldn’t make our minds up!), here are these…
20 Most beautiful Japanese girls at the moment
Born in 1976, Koyuki is an actress and a model who is famous in her home country – and not entirely unknown elsewhere in the world, too.
This is because in 2003 she starred opposite Hollywood heartthrob Tom Cruise in the hit epic movie, The Last Samurai.
Since then, she’s largely made Japanese films, such as the wonderful Nair-san.
However, she has also continued to star in a few American movies too, such as Blood: The Last Vampire.
Any guys reading this? Sorry to break it to you, but Koyuki got married in 2011.
She has since had 3 kids.
Oh well, right?!
Hitomi was born in 1960. Despite now being almost 58, she continue to wow us with her exquisite looks.
And this is the enchanting thing about beautiful women from that part of the world – they seem to age so slowly. The hand of time has been as to kind Hitomi as nature has, and she looks a lot younger than her years.
An actress, she’s been appearing in movies since 1981. A lot of her work has been over in Japan, and she played a major role in one of THE scariest films of the last 20 years – Dark Water. As gorgeous as she is, we reckon you might be watching that particular film from behind your sofa!!
This is another one of most beautiful japanese girls. Nanako was born in October 13, but there’s no official year given. However, all you need to do is take one look at her to recognise her timeless beauty.
A model and actress, Nanako will be well known to you if you’ve seen the American remake of the Japanese horror movie The Ring. It’s a scary movie indeed, but it’s hard to take your eyes off Nanako’s hypnotic looks.
Nanako is, of course, more widely recognised in her home country, where she starred in Kaseifu no Mita, one of the biggest Japanese TV shows of all time.
She’s married, has two daughters and has long been considered one of Japan’s most gorgeous women.
Misaki was born in 1977 and has shot to fame in Japan on the strength of her talents and her looks.
She is both a model and an actress.
Her career started in 1990, when she was Asahi Beer’s “image girl.” Since then, she’s starred in a number of commercials and TV dramas.
She married in 2009 and has two children with her husband.
Petite Mao Abe was born in 1990 and works as a singer-songwriter. It’s another one of the most beautiful japanese girls.
She’s always had natural, prodigious talent, and first learned how to play the piano when she was just 3 years old!
Brains and beauty – a winning combination!
Then, when she got to high school she heard Avril Lavigne’s girl-power brand of pop punk music, and it inspired her to ditch the piano momentarily in favour of a growling guitar.
Since then, Mao hasn’t really looked back. In 2009, she released her first album called Free. It was a massive success, reaching number 1 on Japan’s version of the Hot Billboard 100!
Her career has gone from strength to strength, and Mao has released a string of hits, including lots more chart-topping singles.
If you love J-Pop, you’ve probably already heard of her. If you haven’t heard of her – go check her out!
Mao was born in 1990, which makes her one of the youngest women in this list.
Measuring just 1.63m, this beauty was born for the ice rink.
And wouldn’t you know it – that’s where she spends most of her time!
Indeed, figure skater Mao is one of the most beautiful and graceful women on earth. She’s also insanely talented and has won a silver Olympic medal.
Oh, and she’s also a 3-time World Champion!
She’s ALSO the only woman to have ever landed three triple Axel jumps in the SAME competition.
God really picked an angel when he created Mao for the world, and she’s currently in possession of a crazy 15 Grand Prix titles.
Go watch her videos on youtube and be mesmerised by her moves.
This is another one of most beautiful japanese girls. We find it hard to look at Fumi without getting the urge to burst into tears. She’s just so loveable that we want to be her.
We just can’t even …
Fumi was born in Naha in 1994, which makes her the youngest woman in this list. She’s a Japanese actress who – like many Japanese actresses – first started out as a model.
Then, she was spotted by talent scouts and eventually cast in the movie Toad’s Oil (don’t ask).
It wasn’t long before people realised that this cutie could actually, and pretty soon she was picking up awards. She’s won the Premio Marcello Mastroianni Best Young Actress Award at the Venice International Film Festival, while the New York Asian Film Festival recently dubbed her an “international rising star.”
She’s starlet to keep your eyes on.
Just watch the movie Like Someone In Love. If you don’t fall in love with Rin Takanashi, you’re not human. Sorry.
Rin is gorgeous. She’s not just one of the 20 most beautiful Japanese girls – she’s one of the 20 most beautiful girls in the whole world.
Born in 1988, Rin has risen to become a major film and TV star in Japan, but it was her performance in Like Someone In Love that really caught the eye. It was directed by Abbas Kiarostami, an Iranian film director widely regarded as one of the best ever.
If you want to see more of Rin, you’ll have to get into Japanese TV shows. That’s not going to be easy, admittedly, but she’s starred in many.
That said, if you need your Rin fix right now, she’s also a model. In fact, she’s a gravure idol, a particular type of Japanese female model who appears on men’s magazines and DVDs. Just get yourself over to Google and take a look at her pics.
Born in 1991, Tomomi used to sing with the Japanese idol group AKB48, but has since launched a successful solo career. Her first song Dear J did very well in the charts, and an interesting fact about her was that she was once nicknamed the “Queen of TV Commercials.”
The sweet Emi Takei was born on Christmas Day in 1993. Now, that HAS to be a sign.
Sure enough, she’s caused quite a stir throughout her short life so far, mainly because of how gorgeous she is.
Like many beautiful Japanese women, Emi works as both an actress and model. In her home country, she’s most well-known for her appearances in Japanese TV shows, such as Liar Game, Clinic on the Sea and The Perfect Insider.
Before all of that, though, Emi started out as a fashion model after her looks and potential were spotted. After winning a few awards at the 11th annual Japan Bishojo Contest, her face was put on the cover of a number of issues of popular teen magazine Seventeen.
Emi’s talents don’t start and end with acting and modelling, however. She’s also launched a highly successful career as a singer. In 2011, she released her first pop song, and it got to number six in the Japanese music charts.
Okay, there’s cute and then there’s cute.
And then there’s Maki Horikita.
Born in 1988, she’s already a FORMER actress who now appears to be living the chilled, relaxing retired life.
That’s totally fine for her, but less fine for her fans who just want to see her grace our screens some more.
Maki is huge in her native Japan, where she’s starred in lots and lots of films, TV ads and TV dramas.
Perhaps her most notable role in Japan was in Nobuta Wo Produce, although she did also achieve great acclaim for her performance in Umechan Sensei.
Maki’s beauty and talents are widely recognised, and she’s picked up numerous awards over the years. She’s not just popular in Japan – anyone with an interest in Japanese culture and TV shows will know and love her.
We’re literally just smitten with petite Ai. She is also one of the most beautiful japanese girls.
It’s all about that gorgeous smile.
Ai looks like the kind of joyful girl who would be so much fun to be around. Definitely one you’d love to meet!
Born in 1988, she’s famous in her home country for her table tennis exploits, a sport she’s been playing since she was just three years old!
Ai turned professional in 1998 and hasn’t looked back. Labelled a “prodigy”, she became the youngest EVER representative – male or female – at the Asian Games.
Are all table tennis players this beautiful?
Kasumi has the most photogenic face we think we’ve ever seen. Born in 1993, she’s now 25 years of age – but continues to look younger.
Like many of the girls on this list, Kasumi is an actress who’s enjoying a lot of popularity and fame back home in Japan. She’s starred in the likes of Strobe Edge and Flying Colours.
She doesn’t just have beauty, but has worked her way to the top on merit. Indeed, her talent is widely acknowledged and she was awarded the 39th Japan Academy Prize for Best Newcomer of the Year.
Kasumi has also won two Blue Ribbon awards for Best Actress.
A charming young lady, Suzu was born in 1998 and has only just turned 20.
We predict that great things lie ahead for this nubile young woman who is both gorgeous and talented, she definitely deserves her place in our list of most beautiful japanese girls.
She works as both an actress and model, and has already appeared in a string of music videos, TV ads, TV dramas and movies in Japan. These include Your Lie in April, Our, Chihayafuru, Little Sister and Rage.
However, what really caught peoples eye was her performance as a 16 year old in the 2015 live adaptation of Umimachi Diary, a popular manga novel. On the strength of this, Suzu picked up the Best New Actress award ad the Newcomer of the year award.
She’s definitely one to watch, and it certainly wouldn’t surprise us if she achieves worldwide fame soon. In the meantime, you’ll have to check out more Japanese TV shows, movies and ads (ha!) if you want to see more of her!
Prettier than prettiness itself, Atsuko is the epitome of a beautiful Japanese girl. She’s an angel!
Born in 1991, this lovely woman has worked as both a singer and an actress, and is most well-known for starring in Japanese pop sensation AKB48.
Atsuko is one of the most popular members of the band, and is usually placed number one, ahead of her fellow group candidates.
In fact, Atsuko was deemed so popular, talented and loveable that it was decided she should launch a solo singing career. That she did, and she’s made a great success of it!
As for her acting work, well, she’s got lots of skills in that department, too. Indeed, she scooped the 22nd Japanese Film Professional Award for Best Actress after starring in the movie Kueki Ressha.
