During the day we often want to take a snack and sometimes, we eat wrong foods that won’t help us to achieve our goals of lean figure.

In today’s article we bring to your attention 11 healthy snacks ideas.

1) Apple.
There is a saying : “One apple a day keeps the doctor away.” This is 100% true, because apples are rich in vitamins and minerals, they are strong antioxidants and are low in calories. Apples lower the cholesterol levels in the body, high in fibre apples will fill you up which will help to control your weight. This fruit will also boost and fortify your immune system, detoxify the liver and help your teeth to stay healthy by lowering the levels of bacteria in the mouth. All of the above benefits make apple a perfect snack for healthy diet.

2) Dark Chocolate.
Natural dark chocolate (containing no less than 80% of cocoa) also stays strong in the list of healthy snacks. It’s good for your heart, your brain, it helps to control blood sugar, it’s rich in antioxidants and is high in vitamins and minerals (potassium, copper, magnesium and iron). Chocolate can also improve your mood, it stimulates the production of endorphins (substance in the brain that brings feeling of pleasure) and it contains serotonin, which acts as antidepressant, this is why “choco-snack” can also make you happier! :). Nuts are perfect snacks, they contain high amounts of Omega-3 which helps to lower the cholesterol levels in the body. Nuts are great source of vitamin E which is a very powerful antioxidant and is essential for the good functioning of the immune system, healthy skin and DNA repair. Among nuts, almonds, hazelnuts, peanuts have the highest content of vitamin E per serving.
