10 NATURAL REMEDIES THAT WILL BRING YOUR HAIR BACK TO LIFE

How to make your hair healthier? 10 Natural hair remedies

Hair can so easily get damaged. Whether with the sun, the wind, pollution and a build-up of hair products, it’s no surprise that sometimes hair can get dry, dull, and lifeless. Fortunately, there are plenty of natural ways that you can revive your hair and you don’t need to spend a fortune on expensive hair products. If your hair has started to look like it could do with a bit of TLC, check out these ten great natural hair remedies that will put the life back into your hair.

1. Mayonnaise

Mayonnaise contains some wonderful ingredients for bringing the life back into hair. It has oils to rehydrate the hair and eggs to nourish hair with protein. Simply massage some mayonnaise into your hair and scalp, and then leave it on for three quarters of an hour. When you wash it out again, your hair will be bouncy and shiny again.

2. Beer

The amazing effect that beer can have on hair is more than just an urban myth. Beer, especially dark beer, contains many of the nutrients that are needed to return dry, damaged hair back to health. Just shampoo and rinse your hair as you normally would and then spritz some beer over your hair and leave it to dry. Don’t worry about the smell, because that will go away as your hair dries.

3. Olive oil

Another tip on how to make your hair healthier is to use olive oil, which is quite probably the best known treatment for dry, lifeless hair. It’s rich in Vitamin E and antioxidants that nourish the hair and rehydrate it. For the best results, warm some olive oil before you use it and then apply it over the full length of your hair. Leave it on overnight if you can, and that will condition your hair and leave it looking shiny and healthy again.

4. Lime Juice

Because of its acidity, lime juice is good for treating dandruff and an itchy scalp and it helps to remove the build-up of product on your hair too. Use a mixture of lime juice and water as a final rinse for your hair, twice a week, and it will stop that build-up of product and flakes of skin that can make hair look dull.

5. Avocado

Next good tip on how to make your hair healthier is to use an avocado mask. Avocado is brimming with healthy fats and Vitamins A and E that will condition hair, deep down, and bring back the shine to dry and brittle hair. Just mash up the flesh of one ripe avocado and stir in a tablespoon of olive oil. Apply the mixture to your hair and leave it for about half an hour, then, shampoo your hair with lukewarm water.

6. Apple cider vinegar

A rinse with apple cider vinegar will remove product build-up from your hair and leave it looking soft and shiny and it will restore the PH balance of your hair too. Mix half a cup of apple cider vinegar with one cup of water and rinse the mixture through your hair. It will have more of an effect, if you leave it on your hair for half an hour before you rinse the vinegar out again.

7. Cold tea

Cold tea can also help to make your hair healthier. You can use cold tea to condition, as well as improve the colour of your hair. Use black tea, if you have black or brunette hair, and use chamomile tea, if you have blonde hair. Just brew some tea in the usual way, allow it to cool, and then apply it to your hair, leave it in for half an hour and then rinse out again.

8. Sandalwood oil

Sandalwood is especially good for treating dry hair and split ends. Try mixing a few drops of sandalwood oil with some olive oil and then smooth it into the ends of your hair. It will help with dry and brittle hair and it will get flyway hair back under control too.

9. Eggs

Using eggs is another great tip on how to make your hair healthier. Eggs are a great source of lecithin and protein that will strengthen and repair damaged hair. Whip one egg white with two tablespoons of water and then massage that into your hair and scalp. Leave it to sit for about fifteen minutes and then wash your hair with cool water before you shampoo with warm water. The egg whites will nourish your hair and leave it soft and silky. Repeat that once a week and you’ll soon have your hair looking healthy again.

10. Butter

Butter will add a glossy shine to hair. Just massage a small amount of butter into your hair, cover it with a shower cap, and then leave it for thirty minutes. When the time is up, shampoo your hair as you would usually and you’ll find that your hair has a lovely glossy sheen to it.
