10 Ways to beat greasy hair
Having greasy hair is a real nuisance, so if you are finding that no amount of shampooing seems to get you through a day without your hair turning greasy again, you might need to check out these tips on how to beat oily hair. 1. Make sure you are using the right type of shampoo

You need to avoid products that contain any oil, such as argan oil, which are great for conditioning dry hair, but not so good if you have greasy hair. Use products that are designed specifically for greasy hair and avoid the general purpose types of shampoos and conditioners.
2. Rinse your hair thoroughly
One very simple, but extremely important, point to mention is that you need make sure you rinse your hair thoroughly when you have greasy hair. If you leave any residue of shampoo on your hair at all, it will make your hair heavier and it will make it look greasier. When you shampoo your hair, rinse it through until you can feel that it is squeaky clean.
3. Keep your hands away from your hair
Every time you play with your hair, you stimulate the oil glands and that will make your hair greasier. Your hands also have natural oils on them too, along with dirt and oils that you will have picked up during the day. Try to get out of the habit of running your fingers through your hair or playing with it, and that will help to reduce the grease in your hair.
4. Turn down the heat
You may have seen this advice in articles about dry hair, but heat is going to be equally bad for your greasy hair too. Very hot water and heated tools will dry out hair, but if you have greasy hair, your oil glands will over-compensate for that dryness and make your hair even greasier. You can add a tablespoon of baking soda to a cup of water and rinse your hair with it or you can add some baking soda to your regular shampoo. 9. Black Tea
The tannic acid in tea will cut through the oil in your hair, but remember that black tea can darken hair, so it’s best to avoid this one if you have fair hair. Steep the tea in hot water, leave it to cool a bit, and then apply it to your hair and leave it in for about five minutes. Then shampoo and rinse as normal.
Alcohol can be very good for beating greasy hair and a lot of people say that vodka is the best alcoholic drink for the purpose, but you don’t drink it! Dilute one glass of vodka with two glasses of water and then rinse your hair through with that mixture. Leave it to sit for about ten minutes and, when you wash it out again, your hair will be grease free.
