9 Fabulous beauty tips on how to get perfect eyebrows

Do you realize just how important your eyebrows are? Eyebrows frame your face and they are an important element in communication; people are looking in your eyes and at your brows all the time, when they are talking to you, so you want them to look good. Well shaped eyebrows help to brighten your face and highlight your eyes, and changing their shape can change the way that you look significantly, so read on to find nine beauty tips on how to get perfect eyebrows:

1. Use a standard mirror

Magnifying mirrors are great fun for the kids to play with, but you really don’t need them to pluck your brows, but you do need a good lighting. No one else is going to look at you with a magnifying glass, so it’s best to use just a standard mirror and take a step back now and then, to check what it will look to someone else.

2. Use the right tools

Avoid the pointy tip type of tweezers, as these make it more difficult to grab the finer hairs and can also pinch your skin. Go for the slanted type of tweezers, they are much easier to control.

3. Find the perfect shape

Look in the mirror and find the perfect eyebrow shape for your face. Makeup experts say that the perfect brows begin right above your tear duct, then arch over to a peak above your iris and then end at a point 45 degrees from the outside corner of your eye. You don’t need to follow the standard rules though, just find the shape that suits you the most or go to a beauty salon to get help of an expert.

4. Avoid the tears – pluck after showering

Another simple tip on how to get perfect eyebrows is – pluck them after showering. Warm water softens your skin and opens up the hair follicles, so if you use your tweezers after you have showered, the hairs will come out a lot easier.

5. Work to a stencil

One of the easiest tips on how to get perfect eyebrows is – work to a stencil. It can be tricky getting the right shape, when you are working close up at the mirror. It’s easier if you draw the outline shape that you want with an eyebrow pencil first and then, pluck the hairs outside of the line.

6. Condition your brows

Another important trick on how to get perfect eyebrows is conditioning. Just like the hairs on your head, your eyebrows need conditioning too. You can buy over the counter eyebrow conditioner, or a daily application of olive oil or coconut oil every night before bed works too.

7. Ease the pain of plucking

If you have sensitive skin and plucking is a painful process, but you still want to get those perfect eyebrows, then a quick and easy way to numb the pain is to apply a little numbing baby teething gel beforehand or use a warm washcloth: hold a washcloth under hot water, lay it over your eyebrows for one minute, then remove it and pluck your brows painlessly.

8. Don’t forget the bald patches!

One of the most important tips on how to get perfect eyebrows is – don’t forget the bald patches! No one is perfect, so complete your eyebrow shaping by filling in the sparser spots with a soft eyebrow pencil or eyebrow gel of a similar color to your brows.

9. If it’s all gone a bit wrong

If you got a bit carried away with your plucking in your quest on how to get prefect eyebrows, no need to panic, they grow back in about two to three weeks. If you have over plucked your eyebrows, then it’s best to leave them completely alone to regrow and then you can start shaping them again.
