How to make your flight time more bearable? How to get off the plane looking like a beauty queen? Well, today, I have some tips to share. Let’s begin:
1) Prepare you skin
Make sure to exfoliate and moisturize your skin before taking a flight, this way you won’t need to do it all while on board. Also, if you decide to apply a fece cream while flying, your prepared, exfoliated skin will absorb it more easily and quickly.
2) Drink water or coconut water
Make sure you hydrate your skin from within. Do it by drinking plenty of water or coconut water (rich in vitamins), drinking sodas or coffee is not counted. By supplying your body with generous amounts of liquid you will easily combat the dry plane air in the cabin.
You can use your flight time to rest, relax or meditate. Make sure to bring along items that will help you feel comfortable: take your pillow, your big socks, warm cosy blanket, sleep mask and your headphones with music device. All these will help you to unplug from the current environment and get into the mood for sleeping and relaxing, which will help you reach your new destination refreshed and well rested.
4) Facial mask
You can use your time on the plane to hydrate and moisturize your face. Buy a ready-made facial rejuvenating mask or just a thick nourishing cream. Get yourself comfy and apply the hydrating treatment on your face. If you feel embraced to make a facial while in the plain, you can simply use a hydrating spray instead (spray it while in the bathroom) and see your skin enjoy the benefits! Hydrating your skin while on board can help you land looking well rested and fresh.
5) Get some volume
Your hair can get flatter while you sit through a long flight, therefore, make sure to prepare your locks in advance. Apply a hair volumizing product after you’ve washed your hair before taking a flight. While on board, you can make a high ponytail and, when you land, loosen your hair and see multiplied volume! (Make sure to avoid doing uncomfortable or tight pony tail).
6) Healthy snacks
In order to avoid unhealthy snacks temptation, make sure to bring some good ones with you. Blueberries, nuts and dry fruits can supply you with energy and vitamins and make you feel less tired after the long flight.
7) Glowing skin
Often, we look and feel quite exhausted after the flight, but here is the trick your can use to instantly look better: lightly apply a highlighter on the highest points of your cheek bones, under your eyes, on your cupid’s bow and into the inner corners of your eyes; it will instantaneously help brighten up your complexion and make you look glowing instead of tired.
8) Brighten up your eyes
Our eyes tend to look red and tired after a long flight, therefore, be well prepared. Pack some Visine into your bag and put couple of drops in your eyes to reduce red-eye effect. Also, apply light, flesh toned pencil on your waterline before leaving the plain, it will make your eyes look brighter and less tired. And finally, if you want to battle eye puffiness, don’t forget to bring gel eye mask with you. You can use it cold or warm while on board; it’s been known to help decrease stress, eye puffiness and, even, relieve headache!
