Sometime, looking in the mirror in the morning can be challenging: messy hair, no makeup on, dark under eyes circles…Let me share with you 10 tips on how to wake up looking pretty and even – gorgeous!
1) Treat your lips.
You can care for your lips while you sleep. Just apply a great lips treatment before bed time to moisturise and take care of your lips and then, you will wakeup with gorgeous, soft and kissable lips. One of my favourite lip treatments is Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Lip Protectant.
2) Find good sleeping position.
The best sleeping position when you want to wake up gorgeous is to sleep on your back. I know, it’s not easy to change your habits straight away. It all takes time and practice! When you sleep on your back or at least – on your side, you face won’t be smashed against the pillow as much as when you sleep on it, and therefore, you will wake up with well rested and fresh looking face without puffiness under your eyes. If you make sleeping on your back – your habit, as the time goes by, you will have less wrinkles!
3) Chose silk pillow.
The surface of smooth silk pillow is very gentle to your face, it won’t pull on your skin, as cotton pillow would do and, also, silk pillow will help to keep your hair tangles free. Especially, it’s great to seep on silk pillow in the summer time, because it has really pleasant cooling effect.
4) Hair repairing mask – as your night treatment.
Here is a very simple trick to make your hair look gorgeous and silky in the morning: wash your hair prior to bed time and apply deep-repairing hydrating hair mask (avoid applying the mask on the roots of your hair), put on shower cup and go to sleep with this hair mask on your hair. When you wake up just rinse your hair with lukewarm water and style, as usual. You will see how gorgeous, silky, shiny, glossy and smooth your hair will feel!
5) Whiten your teeth.
To wake up with snow-white teeth can make tremendous difference in the way you look and feel. Some teeth-whitening products are designed to be applied before bed time weather they are paint-on formulas or teeth wraps. White teeth can be a really good helper in boosting your self confidence!
6) Eyelashes extensions.
I, personally, became eyelashes extensions fan! I do them for over 2 years now and I absolutely love the way my eyes look, even without makeup on. This treatment can be quite pricey but when you think about the fact that I don’t buy mascaras any more, nor do I buy any special sophisticated eyes makeup removers, then doing eyelashes extensions can make a very good sense. Also, there are many myths that eyelashes extensions damage your own lashes, which is absolutely not true, if the specialist who does them is good and knows well the job – then there is absolutely no danger to damage your lashes with this treatment. On the contrary, since I started to wear eyelashes extensions, my own natural lashes became healthier and thicker! And yea, with eyelashes extensions I wake up gorgeous every morning!
7) Treat your lashes and brows.
If you are not convinced by the “wonders” of eyelashes extensions, then you can treat your own lashes and eyebrows by applying nourishing oil on them (such as avocado oil, rose hip oil or castor oil) or you can apply a “ready-made” lash enchanter. For example, Tarte MultiplEYE Lash Enhancer. This product claims to increase the appearance of the length of lashes by 152%!
8) Rose hip oil treatment.
Rose hip oil is very rich in vitamins, antioxidants and can really make wonders for your skin. I found out about this beauty secret when I listened the interview of Victoria Secret model Miranda Kerr. She said that she likes to apply pure rose hip oil on her face, as a night treatment and when she wakes up in the morning – she is glowing! This is exactly what rose hip oil can do for your skin – it repairs damaged skin cells of all sorts, reduces wrinkles, hydrates the skin and much much more!
9) Moisturise your hands and feet.
Isn’t it pleasant to wake up in the morning with gorgeous soft hands and feet? Just apply a thick moisturiser on your feet and put on your favourite socks, apply the cream or oil on your hands as well and you will wake up pleasantly surprised!
10) Add some volume to your hair.
To add great volume to your hair in the morning – pull your hair up using a soft hair tie, make sure not to “go too tight”. When you wake up in the morning, your hair will have wonderful volume on the roots! Isn’t it great!
