Everyone desires to look young and beautiful for the longest period of time possible. Today, let me share with you some tips on how to preserve your youthful, beautiful appearance and look younger for longer:

1) Stable weight

Significant changes of weight can lead to the skin’s stretching (facial skin, as well as the skin of your entire body), making it less elastic and less youthful looking. Therefore, make sure to stick to your habitual, healthy and comfortable weight; avoid significant weight changes. One of my favorite actresses – Christie Brinkley – who looks incredibly youthful and beautiful despite her age, explained, that staying in good physical shape and keeping, approximately, the same weight all the time is one of her secrets of youthfulness.

2) Sun protection: wear sunscreen every day

Sun exposure is one of the most important and significant causes of skin aging, therefore, make it a point to wear sunscreen daily. Even when it’s cloudy outside, sun rays are still touching your skin, leading to significant skin aging overtime. Be aware of it and protect your skin!

3) Enough sleep

It’s very important to get enough rest every night. While you sleep, your skin repairs itself, so that in the morning you may look and feel refreshed and more youthful; therefore, don’t neglect your nightly dose of beauty sleep!

4) Harmful effects of smoking

Cigarette, even though it looks small, is one of the biggest enemies of your youthfulness! Avoid cigarettes by all means; and I don’t only talk about avoiding smoking, I also mean that you should avoid being a passive smoker, as well; passive smoking is when someone next to you smokes and you are standing there and breathing it in. Passive smoking is almost as damaging for your skin and beauty, as the real smoking. Therefore, when someone lightens up a cigarette standing next to you – run away!

5) Avoid frowning and squinting

These, on the first sight harmless habits, are greatest enemies of your youthfulness and beauty. When you’re frowning and squinting, you get those little fine lines on your face and, yes, they vanish quickly when you are young, but as time goes on, they tend to settle and stay on your face! We don’t want this, right? Therefore, if you want to stay younger for longer, avoid forming forehead wrinkles and those little creases on your face by all means.

6) Consume enough of essential fatty acids

Make sure to eat enough fish, avocados and dress your salads with natural oils, in order to get enough of essential fatty acids, which are tremendously important not only for healthy functioning of your brain, but also, for preserving elasticity and youthfulness of your skin.

7) Exercise

Exercising is one of the most important ingredients for successful preserving of your younger looking appearance for longer. Whether you chose taking dancing classes, go swimming or do yoga – all these will be very beneficial for your appearance; improving circulation, exercise will help add healthy and youthful glow to your complexion.

8) Do things that make you happy

Make sure to spend time doing things that bring sparkle of joy and happiness into your life, you will look and feel better as a result! And, also, remember to smile often, because happy people, definitely, tend to look younger for longer!

9) Avoid drinking alcohol

Alcohol has dehydrating effect on the body and encourages aging, according to certain researches. Therefore, know the right measure of alcohol consumption, if you can’t completely cut down alcohol from your life; one glass of red wine two times a week is enough!

10) Learn to practice relaxation and mediation

Deep breathing, relaxation and meditation can help you let go of stress and worry, which are not really good friends of our youthfulness, healthy skin and beauty. Taking time for relaxing your body and your facial muscles can add serenity and stillness, which we, often, lack because of hectic lifestyles. Take time daily to relax, concentrate on your breathing, release stress and worry and see the lines of tension disappear from your face! Benefits of meditation and relaxation are countless!
